Looks and Performance
Looks and Performance by Dave Snyder

Writer and photographer David Newhardt said of the Chevelle, "It is a wonderful mix of good looks and great performance." Introduced in the 1964 model year, the Chevelle was based on the new GM intermediate A body platform. The performer for 1964 was the L77 with the 220 h.p. 283 cu. in. engine. By 1970 the Chevelle grew a little in size but a lot in power with the LS6 sporting a 360 h.p. 454 cu. in. engine some think it is the best muscle car of all time. Chevelle looks best in the Super Sport trim and that is the way artist David Snyder portrays most of the Chevelles in his newest masterpiece.
